Rumer. The suit alleges that the defendants violated fundamental standards of medical ethics by coercing Mr. Razny into irreversible surgery without proper evaluation or valid informed consent.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Razny initially sought counseling in 2017 but was diagnosed with gender dysphoria after a 20-minute consultation and placed on hormone treatment without adequate medical or psychiatric assessment. Over the following years, staff encouraged him to undergo surgeries, assuring him that the procedures were safe and reversible. In 2021, Dr. Rumer allegedly pressured Mr. Razny into genital surgery. On the day of the procedure, despite his explicit objections and request to speak with his wife, he was sedated and operated on against his wishes.<\/p>\n<p>The Raznys contend that this course of treatment caused severe physical, emotional, and relational harm, including permanent bodily changes, loss of employment, psychological trauma, and a devastating impact on their family\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case exposes how trusted medical institutions can morph into overzealous transition mills that fail patients at their most vulnerable moments,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/postmanlaw.829dev.com\/our-team\/marquel-longtin\/\">Marquel Longtin<\/a>, Partner and Chief Client Officer at Keller Postman and Postman Law. \u201cAndrew and Amanda\u2019s story illustrates the devastating impact when individuals are rushed into radical, irreversible procedures without adequate information, exploration of underlying issues, or consideration of less invasive forms of care. No one should ever be coerced into surgery\u2014especially after explicitly saying no.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened to the Raznys is a textbook violation of medical ethics,\u201d said J.J. Here, providers ignored red flags, silenced the patient\u2019s doubts, and pressed forward with life-altering surgery against his wishes. That is unacceptable by any standard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Raznys are seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as accountability measures to prevent other families from experiencing similar harm.
